From Training Rooms to Story Worlds

I spent years teaching healthcare teams how to master Epic and adapt to new systems.
Now, I’m writing eerie stories about haunted phone calls and alternate realities.
At first glance, these worlds might look completely different—healthcare training vs. fiction writing. But there’s a powerful connection between the two: storytelling.
◾ In the training room, storytelling helps simplify complexity.
◾ In horror and sci-fi, storytelling makes the impossible feel real.
◾ In both, it’s about engaging people so the message sticks.
My transition isn’t about leaving healthcare education behind—it’s about expanding into a new form of storytelling.
👉 If you’ve ever thought about pivoting into something new, ask yourself: What transferable skills do you already have that could make the leap easier?
